About the Role

--Implement behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
--Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental and learning delays or behavioral needs.
--Collect and record data on client progress and behavior.
--Assist with the implementation of individualized treatment goals.
--Support clients in developing and improving social, communication, and daily living skills.
--Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients.
--Maintain reliable transportation to travel between session locations (with paid drive time & mileage reimbursement).

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs and engage in physical activities

  • Provide excellent references and ability to pass a comprehensive background check

  • Ability to follow instructions and implement behavior plans accurately

  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with individuals with ASD and other developmental and learning delays or behavioral needs

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

  • Currently working towards (or already obtained) a college degree

  • Willingness to seek and implement feedback readily 

  • Evening availability

  • Registered with the state of Oregon as a Licensed Behavior Analysis Interventionist and/or RBT certification - preferred but not required

  • Experience with online data collection and session notes - preferred but not required

  • 1+ year experience working with children and/or individuals with special needs - preferred but not required

  • 1+ year experience working in the field of ABA or Mental Health - preferred but not required


Please note that this position requires a high level of responsibility, as you will be working directly with individuals with ASD & other developmental and learning delays or behavioral needs. Training will be provided to ensure you have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this role.
