Tori McFarland

Tori was first introduced to autism spectrum disorder (ASD) when her younger brother was diagnosed at the age of 2. Since then she knew she wanted a career geared towards improving the quality of life for individuals with ASD and other developmental disabilities. Not only has Tori been surrounded by, and helping with, children (siblings & cousins) since a very young age, she began volunteering/working with kids as a junior in high school in 2013. While working as a one-on-one aide in a daycare for a child with ASD, she transitioned to being a Personal Support Worker (also known as a PSW or a DSP). Working as a PSW, Tori was introduced to the field of ABA when the kiddo she worked with was receiving daily services from an RBT. 

In 2018, Tori took the leap and joined the ABA field as an RBT and in 2022 she was promoted to Training Coordinator at her previous company. Over the last several years, Tori has been actively expanding her knowledge in the field and in July 2022, she began working towards her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a focus in Applied Behavior Analysis at Capella University with the goal of becoming a BCaBA. Once completed with her bachelors degree, Tori will be pursuing her masters degree to further advance into a BCBA position! 

Tori is the Hiring and Training Coordinator for Starlight. As a hiring coordinator with hands-on experience in the field and a passion to provide quality care and treatment to our clients, Tori strives to hire qualified and compassionate individuals to join the team at Starlight! Once hired, Tori also ensures all staff provides quality support and training during the onboarding process and beyond!
